The Seeker

The road is dusty and his back hurts
The rider takes a break and ponders
Over a hot cup of tea on a hot day

Those deep questions on life
Of what matters and what not
Life and its meaning, its purpose persay

Why am I here all alone ?
What trouble, what anxiety ?
Of setbacks and heartbreak.

He seeks those unanswered questions
On the road for often in his thoughts
A voice resonates and calls him on the road

He washes his face, pays for the tea with a smile
And off he goes listening the machine hum
That familiar tune but newer words

The road is mysterious and long
He rides patiently for what he seeks
Is on the road
Slowly unwinding on the winding roads
