You can find the day 1 here..

Continuing with the previous post , we had booked Berjaya Praslin Resort  which will be our location of stay for the next 5 days.

View from our balcony

Why Praslin is a strategically good location to stay for a longer duration in Seychelles

  • Laid back with amenities
  • Closer to La Digue , St Pierre and Curieuse Islands
  • Connected by ferry and flight
  • Much cheaper than Mahe
  • Too many options of great beaches and World heritage site.
  • Less crowded and very clean beaches

Why Berjaya Resort ?

  • 50 m from Anse Volbert Beach with your private gateway to the beach
  • All the amenities for comfort however the wifi is paid
  • Complimentary breakfast
  • Has its own pizzeria and connected to a road with restaurant options and super markets
  • Has its own bus stop
  • The view of a small hill top is too good

The roads of Seychelles were so inviting that the very first day I had made up my mind for a run. The day started with a 5km run and it was totally worth it. I took a trot on the road however subsequently in the coming days I ran by the beach as the sand was too good to run.

Anse Volbert is one very pretty beach and the clear skies had invited a good crowd at the beach. It was a typical day at the beach where you just soak in the sun , take a dip , read , nap , gaze at the sea, see the people from various age groups enjoying in their own way.In totality there must at least be a day where you spent it by the sea.

There is the resorts Pizzeria just by the beach plus there will be local vendors selling coconut water. Here while having coconut water , we finalized a vendor for Curieuse Island the next day. It cost us 60 Euros round trip with a stop at St Pierre Island. The people at the resort also offer the trip but for 80 Euros. You can also get a deal of boat plus barbecue for 100 euros but as i mentioned earlier, me being veggie , my options were restricted.

Right on the road to the resort you will find shops and restaurants on both the sides.  You must explore the supermarkets for local wines, take away shops for dinner, and plenty of restaurants. There are a few restaurants which offer take away pizzas for 150 SCR.

Some of the places recommended to eat are:

Some peaceful reading by the beach
