How not to plan a trip

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I’d something more to say

Imagine a moment , half of a 23 km trek done. I just sit and gauze at the mountains. As the cold wind blows past me, I become more and more at ease, making my peace with nature. I ponder on my life at other days, relentless travel on work, pressure, bad boss, and so many other things. I tend to forget that life for sometime and embrace the now. Oh God, thank you for making this world so beautiful!!

I sit for a while and start descending, knowing very well that the job was half done. All of a sudden it starts pouring, I keep the camera under a plastic bag. And just at that moment, I witness a phenomenon, I see the formation of a rainbow, starting at one end and slowly the semi circle completes. The fascinating part was that it was so humongous that all I could do was to witness it in awe. I tried to capture it, but as you know some things cannot be captured on a lens.

This is the thing about Nature , it surprises you always.

Wonder all those planned travel that people do , can one plan a full size rainbow ?

This has been the greatest experiment of my life, to quit all and travel and to give back to the society

  1. I am enjoying your blog very much. Reading your stories about interesting places makes me feel like I am there and the photos are beautiful. Thank you for liking my blog.

  2. Yes, the world is such a beautiful place, and far too many of us never make the time to really admire it. Your photo of the rainbow is fabulous. Well captured!

  3. Hello Abhinav,

Thanks a lot for following my blog. You have quite a few interests. I guess multitasking or da Vinci could be your middle name 😀 . Jokes aside, the unpredictability of life is one of its greatest beauties, isn’t it?
To be frank, I clicked on this post to get some expert tips on avoiding stupid mistakes before travelling even though, unlike normal Homo Sapiens, I don’t much like to travel. Take that! And here you took us on a different (but exciting-all-the-same) journey. 😀

    Happy blogging. God bless. 🙂
