Photography-Birds in Pallikarani Wetland
The birds chirp, i hear them so
The forest green, where should i go
The river gurgles running slow
The earth sleeps in a peaceful glow

Spent around 3 days just clicking pictures this week owing to the cyclone Vardha that passed through Chennai. This one is from Pallikarini Wetland, one great place for photography within the city. I did a research on birds in this region and few of the common birds are: Spot billed duck, Cattle erget, Coot, common hawk cuckoo, Kingfisher, crows, falcons, house sparrow etc.
About Pallikarini Wetlands: located about 20km south of the Chennai metropolitan area and falls in the Kancheepuram District of Tamil Nadu. The wetland runs along the old Mahabalipuram road parallel to the Buckingham Canal throughout its length in the south.
This is such a good photograph… perfect composition!
Thanks
I love the poem and the photo. 🙂
Thanks
My pleasure.😊
A wonderful photo!
Thanks
Right in my backyard. I missed it until some one reminded me of its presence.
Absolutely beautiful, so thought-provoking!
Thanks
A beautiful picture. It seems like the bird is floating in a dreaming vision. I love the colors and the mirror effect that gives the feeling everything is in suspension. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks
Great shot. Interestingly, we had visited the Sultanpur bird sanctuary, around 21 km from Gurgaon, last weekend. It is an uplifting experience to participate in nature with limited interference from humans. Of course, our presence there was also an interference.
Thanks
An excellent photo, and one to be proud of!
Thanks for following my blog, which is much appreciated.
Best wishes from England. Pete.
